Default Relocation Costs On The Rise

My property management job recently relocated me from Miami FL to Springfield MO.

I was shocked to get a quote from cross country movers. I compared the price of renting a moving truck. The nickels and dimes of mileage fees, gas and daily rental fees were still pretty high.

I ended up going with a mobile storage vault which I packed outside my door in Miami and unpacked in Springfield. The cost was less than using a semi truck mover and a little more than renting a truck.

The convenience and hassle-free process was well worth it. I was pleased.

Default St. Louis Mobile Storage

Storage Banc offers mobile storage in the St. Louis Missouri metropolitan area. They deliver the vaults right to your door and then take them back to a warehouse for safekeeping.

This is a great way to overcome the high (and always rising) gas prices by hiring Storage Banc to move.

Storage Banc also offers mini storage rental units, which are the more traditional form of storage rental space.

Default Mobile Storage

Mobile storage is something new to me. there aren't any in our area yet, but I saw an article about them in the last storage magazine. I'm interested in how that works.

Default Got to weigh your options

When you are looking for storage you have to weigh your options. On one hand you have mobile storage which is easy and convenient. You can load the space whenever you can. The con is that delivery prices might go higher and it might cost more to pick them up and store it at their not as accessible environment.

With Self storage, you can see and get to your space anytime the facility gives you access hours. It is definately cheaper, but you have to find a way to get all of your belongings to storage.

Is convenience more important than cost? That is up to you my storing friends.

I think a lot of owners are figuring out that mobile storage is an entirely different beast that self storage.

They have to have the coordination of pick ups/ drop offs/ deliveries, etc. It becomes a distribution business married to a storage business.

Default Rental Industry Outcome

Do you think that a housing market lull and threat of financial instability will increase business for the rental property management industry ?

Default For Rent

Houses for rent offer a good solution to families who might not be able to get a line of credit or mortgage at this time. Self storage is a good alternative to needing a bigger house.
